Dr Uzo Eweama, is a former CMPD Police Officer Charlotte NC, and was ordained an arch deaconess in December of 2012. She was appointed the Ecclesiastical Endorser for the Archdiocese, by Archbishop Donald Gabriel. She has been a pastoral volunteer for the U S Army since 2002. She was a Missionary Pastor for the African Medical Missions in Germany. She worked as a resident Optometrist at Gwagwalada Specialist hospital in Abuja, Nigeria. In 2014, she became the coordinator for Stillpoint International Ministries Widows in Need (WIN) program. An ACVREP board-certified blind Rehabilitation counselor and Low Vision therapist, she worked for Maryland Department of Rehabilitation Services, Baltimore, MD, Columbia Light House for the blind, Washington DC, CESA 12, Wisconsin, Veteran Administration Hospital, Wisconsin.

She holds a post graduate certificate in Catholic Catechesis from Dayton University, Ohio, a Basic Law Enforcement Diploma, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Academy, Bachelor of science, American University in Antigua, a Master of Arts, University of Arkansas, a post graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from University of St Mary, Doctor of Ministry, Christian education and Master of Divinity MDiv, Gregorian Orthodox School of Theology, Doctor of Optometry Abia State University, Nigeria and High School Diploma, Bishop Lasbrey Girls Sec School, Owerri. She has certifications in Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) Program, Bloodborne Pathogens, Infection Control and Patient Safety, Army Family Team Building, HIPAA for Health Care Workers, Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist, Certified Low Vision Therapist, Optometry.

In addition to these qualifications, Dr. Uzo will earn her Doctor of Medicine in the summer of 2025. Her interests are in Family Medicine and Counseling services. She has skills in Counseling, Blind/Vision Rehabilitation, Orientation and Mobility Training, Low Vision Therapy/Assistive Technology, Independent Living Skills Training, Patient Education, Assessment and Evaluation, Case Management, Community Resource Integration, Law Enforcement, Emergency Response. Her recent publication is on Hyponatremia Precipitated by Synergy of Multiple Mechanisms - A Case Report by California University of Science and Medicine, April 2024.
