Director of Missions

Fr. Agbor is an experienced spiritual care professional with over 27 years of full-time ministry experience, both in the United States and internationally. He currently serves as a Staff Chaplain at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he offers emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff, and manages the department's Medical Impactor General (MEDIG) program. Previously, Fr. Agbor served as Chaplain and Division Officer (DIVO) aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, where he provided spiritual care and counseling to over 3,000 sailors, coordinated inter-ship ministry efforts, and led more than 100 suicide prevention and intervention training sessions. His Navy service follows rigorous training through Officer Development School and Naval Chaplain School in Newport, Rhode Island.

Fr. Agbor brings a wealth of clinical experience, having completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) as a resident at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX, and Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, LA. He also served as Coordinator of Spiritual Care for ProMedica Senior Care and Hospice in Minnesota, where he provided end-of-life care and interdisciplinary spiritual assessments. Internationally, Fr. Agbor served as Pastor of six churches in Ficksburg, South Africa, leading parish and school operations for over 1,300 congregants and 800 students. His leadership has included training hundreds of youth and adult leaders in spiritual and community development. In the U.S., he pastored St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Houston, TX, where he restructured parish operations and launched over 30 new departments, expanding the church's outreach and leadership development programs.

Fr. Agbor holds a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership from Regent University, Virginia, and a Master of Pastoral Studies in Administration from Loyola University, New Orleans. He is a SafeTalk Certified Trainer, ASIST-trained, and a member of the Spiritual Care Association, Professional Advisory Group at the Center for Integrative Pastoral Practice, and the Palliative Care Working Group at NMCSD.
