Rev. Fr. Diosdado T. Quinton

Fr. Diosdado T. Quinton is a retired U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain and veteran of both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army, with more than 17 years of distinguished military service across active duty and reserve components. He currently serves as a Correctional Officer with the Department of Public Safety in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fr. Quinton began his military career in the U.S. Navy, serving on active duty from 1994 to 1998 and in the Navy Reserve until 2002. He was commissioned as a chaplain in the California Army National Guard in August 2008 and rose through the ranks, achieving the rank of Major in August 2016. His assignments included numerous battalion and brigade chaplain roles, culminating in his deployment with the Special Operations Joint Task Force–Operation Inherent Resolve (SOJTF-OIR) from March to November 2018. He completed critical military education programs, including the Chaplain Basic Officer Leader Course (2009), the Combat/Emergency Medical Ministry Course, and the Chaplain Captains Career Course (2013). His dedication to soldier welfare and spiritual leadership was demonstrated in both peacetime and combat environments.

Fr. Quinton holds a Master of Divinity from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California. His academic background also includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from Divine Word College in Calapan City, a degree in Criminal Justice from the Philippine College of Criminology, and Clinical Pastoral Education units completed in San Diego.

Throughout his military service, Fr. Quinton received multiple commendations, including the Navy Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army and Navy Good Conduct Medals, the Combat Action Badge, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal, among others. His commitment to spiritual guidance, ethical leadership, and public service continues in his civilian career and ministry.
