Very Rev. (Dr.) Angel Vicente G. Arcilla, OMSC

Director of Ecumenical Relations

Fr. Angel Vicente G. Arcilla is a distinguished ecumenical theologian, energy and project finance consultant, and international business leader with a multi-decade career spanning religious ministry, sustainable energy, capital markets, and global consultancy. He currently serves as Director of Ecumenical and Inter-Religious Dialogue for the Orthodox Catholic Archdiocese of North America, where he also holds priestly and theological responsibilities.

Parallel to his religious vocation, Fr. Arcilla is an accomplished energy and project finance expert, having consulted for major renewable energy, infrastructure, and lighting efficiency projects globally. He is an Energy Management and Verification Practitioner, Lighting and LED Consultant, and Capital Finance Strategist. His corporate affiliations span across North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, including leadership roles at BERNAN International Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), Coretech International, Inc. (USA), and UAB Galaxy LT (Lithuania). He is currently the Senior Management Consultant and Managing Partner of BERNAN Management Consultancy Firm in the Philippines. His past roles include consultancy for the Vatican Bank’s Opus San Pietro Foundation, executive leadership in the LIFE Federation in Rome, and senior positions in multiple international corporations based in the U.S., Italy, and the Philippines. His work has involved complex financial structuring, energy engineering, and international development, often at the intersection of technology and humanitarian impact.

Fr. Arcilla’s contributions are further enriched by his active participation in global energy conferences, such as the World Energy Engineering Congress (WEEC) and Globalcon, and his certification through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and training in special banking operations in Rome.

Fr. Arcilla holds multiple advanced degrees in theology, ecumenics, and psychology. He completed His Doctoral Studies in Sacred Theology (SThD) and has a combined Licentiate and Master's in Sacred Theology (MA-SThL) with a specialization in Ecumenics from the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome. He also completed post-graduate studies in the Master of Arts Program in Management and Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. His earlier academic formation includes degrees in Sacred Theology, Philosophy, and Classical Studies from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila. A lifelong advocate for global interfaith dialogue, Fr. Arcilla has served in various theological and pastoral roles worldwide, including military chaplaincy in the Armed Forces of the Philippines in his early ministry years where he held the rank of a Commissioned Officer. He leads initiatives promoting religious unity, medical missions, and educational exchanges. He is a lifetime member of numerous academic and religious associations, including the Alumni Priests Association of the University of Santo Tomas, Pontificio Collegio Filippino, and the International Scholars Association of the Opus San Pietro Foundation.
